Tour Plan
Day 1
- Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to
Negombo. Overnight stay in the hotel and relax at
the edge of the Indian Ocean.
Day 2
- Visit the local fish market, harbor, Dutch canal
and beautiful churches around the city. Evening at
leisure. Optional excursion: Boat ride
Day 3
- Transfer to Habarana. En route visit the Pinnawala
Elephant Orphanage where lost and injured elephants
are taken care of. You will witness the gentle
giants enjoy a river bath at Ma Oya. This site is a
wheelchair accessible site. Then proceed towards
Habarana for your overnight stay.
Day 4
- After your breakfast, proceed to Anuradhapura and
explore ancient ruins and religious monuments.
Day 5
- Today we will visit historical Polonnaruwa. It is
a UNESCO world heritage site that includes ancient
palaces, temples, Buddha statues and stupas. In the
afternoon, you will witness a cooking demonstration
and experience a traditional Sri Lankan lunch.
Later, go on a private jeep safari at Minneriya
National Park. Since this is an accessible safari,
you will be able to witness elephants, sambhur deer,
crocodiles and lot of bird varieties.
Day 6
- Check out from the hotel after a lovely breakfast
and proceed to Kandy. En-route you will visit a
spice garden in Sri Lanka. Relax at your hotel.
Day 7
- After breakfast, you will be visiting the
Peradeniya Botanical Gardens where you may see
exoric crops such as tea, nutmeg, rubber and a
lovely orchid house and a wide variety of plant
species from all over the world. If you are a keen
gardener, at least a morning is recommended to visit
the gardens, possibly longer. (Buggy car services
are available in the site)
Day 8
- You will transfer to Nuwara Eliya today. This
exotic city is located in the mountainous region
making the perfect area and fresh climate for
growing Ceylon tea and vegetables. Relax at your
hotel while sipping a good cup of tea!.
Day 9
- After the breakfast, you will have the opportunity
to visit a local tea factory. Rest of the day is at
leisure.
Day 10
- Check out from the hotel and leave to Mirissa.
Full day at leisure on the beach.
Day 11
- At leisure
Day 12
- Transfer to Colombo after a lovely breakfast at
hotel. Colombo is considered as the commercial
capital of the country. You can visit the most
well-known Gangaramaya Buddhist temple that has the
view of Beira Lake.
